Speak like yourself.
In English.

You understand English. You just cannot get it out when it counts. That is not a knowledge problem, and this is not a course.

No test, no sales pitch. We just talk.

Sound familiar?

The English is in there. It just will not come out.

The meeting is in English. You follow every word. Then someone turns to you and asks what you think, and the answer you had in your head comes out as three flat words.

You rehearse the sentence before you say it. By the time it is ready, the conversation has moved on.

In your own language you are quick and precise, sometimes funny. In English you choose the safe sentence, the short answer, the smaller version of yourself.

Afterwards you replay the moment. The perfect phrasing arrives in the shower, five hours too late.

None of this means your English is bad. Usually it means the opposite: you have years of English stored up, waiting to be used. What is missing is not knowledge. It is a place to practise speaking where getting it wrong is safe, and a reason to speak that is stronger than the fear. That is what coaching is for, and it is a different job than teaching.

The Continuous Coaching Loop

The session is just the visible part.

Most English lessons end when the hour ends. A topic is covered, a tab is closed, and by Thursday it has faded. This works differently. Every session feeds the next one, and the week in between is part of the method. I call it the Continuous Coaching Loop.

  1. 01Speak

    Bring your week

Each session is built around what is actually in front of you: Thursday's meeting, next week's interview, the conversation you keep postponing. No textbook sets the agenda. Your calendar does.

  2. 02

    Speak, safely

You do most of the talking, in a space where nobody is grading you. Say it wrong, then say it again, then say it better. That order is the method.

  3. 03Notice

    Capture what worked

The words you reached for, the expressions that landed, the pronunciation that got in the way: I write it all down during the session. Your best moments stop being one-time luck.

  4. 04Practise

    Recall it in minutes

A few days later, a short review arrives in your chat: your words, your phrases, back for a second pass. It takes a few minutes, and it is made entirely of you.

  5. 05

    Stay in contact

Between sessions I am a message away. A phrase to check before the meeting, a quick question, a nudge when the week gets loud.

  6. 06

    Continue, never restart

The next session starts where your real week ended. What you learned gets used. What you struggled with gets rebuilt. Nothing resets to zero, and that is why it compounds.

Underneath the six steps sits one idea: your reason to speak has to become stronger than your fear of speaking. A marketplace can sell you hours with a different tutor every month. It cannot sell you a loop, because a loop needs one coach who remembers.

Who it's for

Different situations. The same gap.

The gap between what you understand and what you say out loud. Here is where it shows up.

Professionals and managers

Your work is strong. Your English meetings do not show it. You want to disagree smoothly, present without reading, and make a joke without checking it first. We build exactly those situations, taken straight from your calendar.

Job seekers

The CV got you the interview. The interview is in English. We prepare your real answers, out loud, until they sound like you on a good day. Not memorised. Practised, and yours.

New in the country

You moved, and life runs in English now: work, small talk, making actual friends. You are more than the simple sentences you have been surviving on. Speaking is how a place starts to feel like yours.

Founders and specialists

You know your field better than anyone in the room, and investors, clients and audiences should feel that. We work on explaining your expertise the way you would in your own language: precisely, and with personality.

Buying for a team? See corporate programs below. Somewhere else on the map? If your gap is between understanding and speaking, write anyway.

What changes

Progress you can hear.

The distance between what you think and what you say gets shorter. Not zero. Short enough to work with.

You answer in the meeting, not in the shower afterwards.

Your personality survives the language. Colleagues start meeting the person your friends already know.

You stop translating in your head and start speaking from your own stock: phrases you reached for once, captured, reviewed, and now simply yours.

What I will not promise

Perfect English does not exist, and native speakers do not have it either. Nerves never disappear completely, for anyone. And nobody can honestly promise you a level by a date, a salary, or a job. What coaching changes is the balance: your reason to speak grows until it outweighs the fear. That change you can hear, at your own pace, in your own recordings of yourself if you want the proof.

Portrait of Martin Sandtner

Your coach

Martin Sandtner

I am an English language coach based in the Finnskogen area of Sweden. I have been coaching people in English for more than eighteen years, mostly with professionals, leaders and teams preparing for interviews, presentations and high-stakes conversations.

Before I coached anyone in English, I trained as an actor at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. Acting is a training in what happens to a person when a room goes quiet and it is their turn to speak. The breath goes shallow, the voice tightens, and everything you prepared gets smaller. A meeting in a second language does the same thing, for the same reasons. That is the part I work on, and it is why a session with me sounds more like a rehearsal than like a lesson.

I speak English, Slovak and Czech, and get by in Spanish and Italian. I work with clients across Europe, online.

I call this coaching and not teaching for a simple reason. A teacher's job is to put knowledge in. My job starts when the knowledge is already there and will not come out. My sessions have no curriculum, no levels and no red pen. They have your week, your goals, and enough safety to practise being wrong on the way to being understood.

The rest you will learn about me in the first conversation. That is what conversations are for.

Formats and price

Simple to start. Simple to price.

1:1 coaching

One hour, online, just us, built around your week. This is the full loop: the session, the captured notes, your personalised review, and chat contact in between.

EUR 35per hour

That is the whole price list. No packages, no tiers, no bundle you have to guess your way out of. You pay for the hours we meet, and you can pause or stop at any time.

The hour is the visible part. The notes, the review, and the contact through the week are inside the price, not extras. You are not buying lessons by the hour. You are in a loop that meets for an hour at a time.

The price is on this page because you should not need a discovery call to find out what something costs.

Small groups

The loop, shared with a few people at a similar point. A group gives you the one thing 1:1 cannot: the experience of speaking while more than one person listens. Groups are put together individually, so there is no price card. Tell me what you have in mind and I will answer with a plain quote.

Corporate programs

English coaching for teams, built the same way it works for individuals: a conversation about needs first, then a small pilot, then a decision. Because every session is captured, you see what your people are actually gaining, not just who attended. Priced per program, quoted after the needs conversation, in writing.

Questions

Asked before every first conversation

Why pay EUR 35 when online tutors charge 15?

You can find good tutors for less, and for some goals a tutor is the right choice. What you pay for here is not a better hour. It is what happens around the hour: one coach who carries your context from week to week, notes and a review built from your own words, and contact between sessions. On a marketplace, every lesson starts from zero. Here, nothing does.

What actually happens in the first conversation?

We talk. You tell me where English shows up in your life and where it stops you. I ask questions, and you will speak more English than you expect to. By the end, we both know whether coaching fits. There is no test, no level assessment, and no obligation to continue.

What if I am too shy, even for this?

Then you are exactly who this is built for. Most people come to me speaking less than they want to; that is the starting point, not a problem. You set the pace. At the beginning I carry more of the conversation and hand it over as you get comfortable. Nervousness does not disqualify you. It is usually the reason to begin.

Is my English too basic for coaching?

If you can read this page, we can work together. Coaching needs something to work with, not something perfect. If your English really is at the very beginning, I will tell you honestly in the first conversation and suggest what to do first instead of selling you sessions.

Do I have to do the reviews between sessions?

No. The review is a few minutes, built only from your own session, and most people do it because it is about them, not exercises from a book. If a week eats you alive, skip it. We continue anyway. Nothing here runs on guilt.

I have an interview or a presentation coming up. Can you help before it?

Yes, and short, focused preparation is some of the most useful coaching there is. We work on your actual material: your answers, your slides, your opening lines, out loud, several times. I cannot promise you the job or the applause. I can make sure that on the day, your English is prepared instead of improvised.

Is this English lessons? Will we do grammar?

It is coaching, not lessons. We start from your situations, not a curriculum. Grammar comes up when it blocks something you want to say, and we fix it right there, attached to a real sentence you will actually use. You will not sit through modules.

How long until I notice a difference?

I will not give you a number, and be careful with anyone who does. What I can tell you: you speak in the first session, and the loop keeps your progress visible, because your reviews are made of things you could not say a month earlier. Some people come for one season, one interview, one move. Some stay longer because the weekly rhythm works. Both are fine, and you can stop any time.

Can my employer pay for this?

Often, yes. I invoice companies directly and can set up coaching for one person or a small program for a team. If you want help making the case internally, ask in our conversation and I will send a short description your manager can read.

The next step is a conversation.

Not a lesson, not a test, not a commitment. You write a few lines about what you are facing. I reply personally, and we take it from there. If this page sounded like the inside of your own head, that is the signal.

Tell me what you are facing
